1989 dana 35 non c clip rear?

As the title states is this possible? I was told in 89 the 35 had a non clip rear. Just wondering if this is true or not? Going to be upgrading shortly to either 44s or toyota axles. Thanks in advance.

yepper, the yj dana 35's were non c clip from 1987 to about mid 1990.

so your saying all or a select few? if just a few is there anyway of telling it is a non c clip without taking the cover off? also if i broke a rear shaft being that its a non c clip rear would the tire, drum, and shaft come out? thanks again

if none c-clip.. shaft will stay in tube as far as I know..
