1990 Sahara

I am looking at one in excellent condition. It has the bikini and soft top with soft windows, winch, lights, 2.5" lift, and a few other goodies. 4.2 w/ 5 speed, AC, stereo, etc... The owner towed behind their motorhome for what seems like the whole time. I can find only a few chips in the paint. Mileage is at 144,000. What is a good price?
Also, what should I look out for?

Also location plays into the price.

How much are they asking?

As for what to watch out for. Check for the normal oil leaks. Has the clutch been replaced? What is the condition of all hoses etc under the hood. 90 was a carb model. so how well does it run. Does it start right up etc? Does the 4wd work.. test everything and anything..

$9600 with no reported leaks or issues in the inspection but I'll have a second opinion if I move forward.
How tough is it to replace with manual hubs?

$9600. Way to much. Go buy a used TJ and get a better jeep for the same money, heck spend a few K more and maybe find a nice high miles Rubicon.

I'll lowball and see what they say. How well will it run in Tahoe? I plan a lot of trips in the summer and considering this is carbureted, am I looking at a lot of trouble? THanks!

Offer $5500 at most, but for that price you could go buy a newer TJ

Lol, Brah, Actually mine is very clean and 99% rust free. Do you even know retail/loan on something like this? By the way, "offence" is spelled offense. Also, "prolly" is spelled probably.

The webber seems to give it more "get up and go". I like it though. I am selling it because I have owned it for 1 1/2 years and put maybe 500 miles on it. I don't drive it like I thought I would. The reason I said 99% rust free is because there was a little in the windshield frame and I took care of that when I had my windshield replaced.

In CA, law requires a drivers side mirror. Since these come off with the doors, what is a good option to stay legal? Thanks for letting me pick all your brains a bit! BRAH

There are mirrors that can be mounted on the windshield frame. I have them on my Jeep so that I can take the doors off and have mirrors. Check Jeep mirrors on Ebay and you will find them pretty cheap.
