1991 YJ Cargo Net

Just got a 1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ and am looking for some kind of cargo net system to use to keep my dogs from jumping out. Unfortunately, since the jeep has the sport bars (which I love), I can't find any cargo nets that work with the current roll bar set-up.

Has anyone rigged up something that will work and if so, how? I was thinking of attaching cargo nets to the soft top frame (I don't use the actual soft top, just a bikini top) that way I can put it up when the dogs are in and put it down when I'm just cruising around. I've been googling for days and can't seem to find anyone that has done this. I may just have to sew something up myself but was hoping someone else out there can help.

Any ideas, suggestions, pics, etc would be much appreciated!

I was pretty close to getting that Smittybilt CRES cargo netting for my 95 yj as well. However, to have it on you need to drop your soft top and then set it up... taking it down again every time you put the soft top back up. That idea frustrated me.
So, I ended up picking up three sets of cheat netting from wally world that is supposed to be used as a cargo hammock in the bed of a truck... the stretchy kind. Using two bungy cords and two carbiners I was able to wrap them around my entire rear rollbar system itself...

total cost: about $33

It looks good and I can even roll up the back window without worrying about the dogs jumping out, since the netting is always there, wrapped around the rollbars themselves.

I'll snap some pictures when the weather gets decent and I'm not busy sleeping.

I'll try and snap some this weekend... we've got some nice weather here in Kentucky for the next few days and I've got the top down.

Love my CRES for my dogs. Also makes a mild deterant to possible theives from reaching into the back.

They sit in the back with no probs when the Jeep is moving.

I forgot to say that although I spent about $10 for each of the three net things I used, I saw something very similar for $3 at Harbor Freight yesterday.

I'm way late seeing this so you've probably already bought yours. I decided on the ROC SOC from rocdogfab.com

I liked that the dogs couldn't stick their heads out and that folks couldn't stick their hands in.
