I have a 95 yj 2.5 l , had blown a rod because of some climbing I was doing, and still ran all the way home.. A turbo and used engine later, 154k miles; it still runs like a champ. Uses a 5ax tranny, Manuel. Dropping in the nv4500 tranny soon

the wife's 93 is an auto with 4.0 and has 180k miles it, roughly. don't remember the exact number but its really close to that. we drive it all over texas and are driving up to the hill country to rio frio tomorrow, a 5 hour drive. not a problem once with it on long trips, ac and all works great

92YJ - 2.5L 4cyl. 190K 5sp manual - It won't outrun much else on the road.... but it sure as heck will outclimb 99% of everything else on the road (Not counting other Jeeps!!)

Hey, 1994 Sahara. I love my jeep. I have put hard top with full steal doors and still have the half doors and soft top for the summer, new paint, MT wheels and BFG MT 31x10.50 15 tires, and up graded to leather seats. It has about 80,000 miles on it, I put a 2.5 procomp lift and 3 inch body lift. xd 9000 warn winch KC dayliters. It rides great. It is a great jeep. A REAL HEAD TURNER. The only problem was to get my wife out of it. The only to get her out was to buy her a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Now she gave me my jeep back.

Mine is a 1994 4cyl, 5-speed. It has 61,000 miles and it is getting closer to being the perfect jeep in my opinion every day. Every modification I do only makes it better to me. It has all the factory interior. I have rebuilt and recovered the door panels with mossy oak camoflague and the dash also. Not the big part on top just the parts across the middle around the steering wheel and across. It is awesome!! Lift and 31's.

I have been thinking about up grading my axles, but undecided. I have 307 gears now, so a whole new regearing in needed. I want 4.56 gears. I plan on 33s in the future. but the hard part is to find a good mechanic here in germany to get them right. also labor cost are high here. I look on the fourm and see all the jeeps out there all of you guys and gals look great...

94, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, 120,000 miles. It's my daily driver, and runs great! I love this Jeep. No problems, other than the fact that 2nd gear can be a bit tough to get into, especially when it's cold outside. I've been thinking about adding a winch to it before going out to play again in Spring.

I used to have the same problem with 2 nd gear also. I changed the oil but switched to Royal Purple and the problem went away. It worked for me.. 30 bucks for oil. it worth a try.... before I bought my jeep I bought my winch, because I knew what I wanted to drive,,, You will find out that you will help other drivers out more than for self recovery,,, but they are great to have just be safe when using.

I may get out there this weekend and change that oil to see if it helps any.

I know I will definitely feel a lot better when trail riding without another 4wd if I have a winch for backup (although I think I'm gonna join a local jeep club so can trail with others). It's easy to get in woods with zero cell coverage. Could be a long walk if stuck. Which is more useful: A winch or a locker?

Thats like asking where is the anchoring point and wheres the bottom of the hole. I chose a winch because I never wheel alone. the winch can help all of us and a locker does not help everyone.
