27,000 mile original 89 Sahara

HI, I have the chance to buy this. Anybody got an idea of it's actual value?

carb, manual, rust free, new tires, mint interior with all the trimmings. Thanks!

Does it have the 4cyl or the 6?
What is the person asking? Personally, if there REALLY is nothing wrong with it, it could be worth MAYBE 5000 bucks. The kelly blue book on a 91(thats as far as kbb goes) is $5600 in 5 star condition.
There's a few things that anyone who may help might want to know.
What do you plan on doing to this jeep?
What upgrades do you plan on putting in?

Personally, I wouldn't get one unless you love the style of the roll cage and headlights. I wouldn't buy one in excellent condition if I was gonna beat the shit out of it either.

But hey, to each his own!

Paid $4k for my 89 Sahara. No rust, garage kept, fairly new carpets and Bestop seats. Soft top was practically new, because the PO left the bikini and tonneau on it full time. 128,000 on the jeep, but only 5000 on the rebuilt engine, when I bought it. Oh yeah, 4.2L engine. Added about $2k total since - most of it in BFG KM2's 31x10.50x15's.

can't beat that, top of the line jeep with only 27k. too bad it isn't a 4.0 but you have a 4.2 in there anyway. don't buy this if you are gonna tear it up and mod it like crazy, this would be perfect for some daily driver use and some mild off roading/on the beach use.

HI, I want to keep it as original as possible. No mods planned. It will be a weekend fun car. It is a 6cyl with soft top. I am wondering if the engines seals are all good considering it limited use. Is $4000 what everyone thinks is a good price?

that's more than reasonable,
to give you perspective i paid 48000 for my 93 with 93000 miles, and that's considered low mileage for these vehicles.

$4000 is good. I'd say go for it. But it's obviously been sitting for a long time so keep that in mind.
