3.5" lift... Looks funny now.

... And need some new tires.
Ok so here I am again. I just got my lift and I run the 2003 stock Rubicon wheels/tires. Here's a before and after pics

Does it look funny to u? It does to me, a bit. So, now I need your opinion n expertise.
I want some 33s but I want them somewhat wider than these 31s. I don't want to use these rubicon wheels n add spacers, I want wheels with correct backspacing. What size/dimension tires n wheels do I need? Just so I have an idea of what I'm looking for... So I can save up more.
I hope I made sense... Thx

4in or 3.75 BS if you go 12.50 wide tire. 3.75 if go 13.50 wide. 8in wide rim is good up to 12.50 wide tire wider then that go with a 10 in wide rim. I think the ideal set up your looking for is a 33 12.50 15R of you don't want that wide tire you could go with a 33 10.50 15R.

I have 31 10.50's with 3.5" backspacing on Eagle Alloy 15 x 8's. I plan on going to 32 x 11.50 or 12.50's. I think 33's change gearing too much and I don't want to have to regear. Just my opinion.

I think a set of 32" tires would be perfect. Don't want to stuff it, and you still have a 4cyl.

It looks just fine to me. You will not scrub at all with that set-up. YOu probably just need to get used to the new look. I have that much room over the tires on mine, and it looks great to me.
Sure you could get 33's on there, but do you need them for what you do with the Jeep?

Those are either really big 33's or really saggy springs. I had more clearence with just the 3" body lift on stock springs. I would be pissed if my 4" lift didn't give me more than what I see in the pic you posted.
BTT.........
As I was saying in a previous post, if you don't need 33's and do not wheel or don't need the clearence the 33's provide, I would save the wear and tear on the drivetrain and gas mileage and keep the 31's. Most people would be suprised how far a locker and 31's will go

I agree. I'm running a 4.5" Skyjacker lift and 33's and I've got tons of room for flex. I've been kicking around the idea of a 1" body lift for added flex clearance, but I don't even need it.

i got the soft 8 hole craigers with the 4.5 back spacing like few others.. but I am still running 31's due to they are brand new and i'm in no big hurry. I don't think they look to bad. Plus i want to change my gearing before i go to 33's because I understand they will put on a lot of stress on my dana's

Doesnt look to bad in my eyes.

I would just go with a wider 31's. But like I said thats my opinion. If you want bigger rubber go for it.

could be some sag.. the back lost close to 1" due to the bigger tubes and pads on the 8.8.
