I was reading somewhere about interior door handles with no locks and someone brought up "because of the value of 87 doors no one parts them out" These half doors with no locks seem to be impossible to get interior handles for. Is there some added value to them because of this and if so does anyone have an idea on what they are worth? I currently have a pair of 87 doors that i'm stripping and having painted and another pair i'm using temporarily while the others are being done, BUT if the 87's have high value i may sell them off and paint the other pair to pocket some cash :bop:
My understanding was that the full doors were always more money. And I bet most if not all of half door YJ owners never use their locks. I sure didn't with the two that I've owned.
But no matter what door they still bring good money either way. IMO Better than siting in the garage collecting dust.
Full doors definitely go for more around here.
Still can't believe I snagged my halfies for $40 no rust great condition and the guy even tossed in the frames. Just needed days worth of soaking the plastic in armor all. They have locks and I never even tried them. I'm scared they will get stuck locked like my full door did.
Wish that didn't have locks at all.
I would have paid more for my halfies if they didn't have locks
I think full doors are definitely go for more across the board. The 87 half doors I have actually ended up being free - bought a used bestop and these doors for $200 and sold the top alone for $200 the next day. :iamhappy: I think everyone has the same opinion - these doors are worth no more than any other set of half doors. On a side note - does anyone know where to get new replacement half door panels in spice? Looks like they only make black.
