88 Jeep Wrangler- Should I buy this Jeep?

I'm looking for a older jeep I can go off road with and still drive short distances around town. I cam across this jeep on craigslist. Should I buy it?

88 wrangler, straight 6 cylinder, fuel injected, w/ 110,000 miles, 5 speed, 4 in lift on 35's. I also have a new 1 1/4 in. Rough Country body lift just never put it in. The frame is solid. New drums, rotors, calipers, pads and shoes. New e brake assembly, rear drive shaft, yoke, replaced rear end and most of the u joints. Needs one u joint and a blower motor. Top and doors aren't in the greatest shape, never had them on since I've owned it. Looking for $2,500 obo

thanks guys,

Shamy

That year inline 6 came with the carbed 4.2. Did he do a motor swap?

that was going to be one of the questions i asked when i went to take a look at it. It must be a newer engine right? Can they be converted from carb to fuel injection?

I'd buy it in a second. Yes the 4.2l can be converted to efi. Beware the Peugeot tranny though, kind of a PITA if you have clutch problems, not looking forword to mine having clutch issues.

I'd give $2500 for it in a heartbeat. IF it's legit.

Even if it is carb'd it is worth the asking price. Jump on it. Yea they can have their weak spots but the fun is in upgrading.

Did you get it yet? Several options for the fuel injection, which would be my first question. Mopar EFI($1000+), Howell TBI($1000+), 4.0 Head and FI on existing 4.2, complete 4.0 engine swap, or Junk yard conversion using GM 4.3 components.
