'90 Jeep YJ: New to Community

Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening to WranglerForum

Recently became the proud owner of 1990 Jeep YJ, first jeep ever owned and love it. Completely stock with only 123k kms on odomoter. Yes Canadian!

Am brand new to all this and slowly learning and searching these forums. Any and all advice to upgrade and tweek my completely stock YJ would be beneficial.

The Jeep runs like she is brand new. Have recently replaced spark plugs, distributor / wiring. What I am looking to now invest in is upgrading the Air Intake and upgrading carborator (few suggestions for this already). Also any hints tips or tricks for undercarriage body surface rust elimination would be much appreciated.

Looking to keep this vehicle stock as long as possible before having to resort to engine swap.

Welcome, use POR15 for the undercarriage and frame. And look into a roll on bed liner for the interior tub.

Square headlights is where its at. Loving the old-school carborator engine as well. Still has its pep. Any suggestions for upgrading the air intake?

Welcome to the board. I'm new here but not new to yjs have 3 and 1 parts yj. So easy to work on and modify! The 4.2L has great low rpm torque but 4 cylinder like horsepower.

Its pretty damn good condition for '90. Only 4 years younger than myself ha. 123,000kms only. The only real issue I have with it is the under carriage rust. Will definitely be taking it somewhere to de-rust her.
