'93 YJ Heat Lever

Hello all. My heater control no longer stays in position. Other words, if I slide it all the way left or right as soon as I take my hand away it slides back to center. Any ideas?

Its haunted ........ or rusted in one great relaxed position. I would be careful if it involves a ghost. Have the dog check it out.

follow your heater cables under the dash and wd40 the hell out of 'em. Try gettin the wd inside the cable sheathing and where it connects to the heater box (a lil bent metal arm thats usually rusted). My 93 was the same way when I got it and now the heater levers/cables work fine.

make sure the cable (under the dash) is connected - there's a L shaped metal bar which slips into (and sometomes out of) a oval shaped piece.
I'll get pics if ya need - lemme know
