It has been done, but you have to change out everything to run a diesel.

Do I have to change the bellhousing? Is there a engine that will fit in the stock mounts and bellhousing?

If you have to ask questions like that you have NO chance in completing a swap like that, and he just answered that question.

Yeah, not to be rude, but He's right. To swap a diesel you are going to have to change everything in your complete drivetrain and suspension. Engine, Tranny, Electronics, Motor Mounts, Springs, Axles, Drive shafts, Transfer Case. To do this swap right will cost you about 15k when you are all done.

But it can and has been done.

Why condemn someone for asking a question? That's how the learning process starts.

There is tons of info everywhere and instead of looking people are just lazy and try to get others to do the work for them, its one thing to know a LITTLE about something then ask opinions and for info to fill the gaps. but its completly different just being lazy.

Hey, Man. We're partners already since we're both Mississippi boys, so don't take offense.

You're statement is counter-productive and you don't have to answer a question if you don't like the content. Here on this forum we encourage all questions and there is no such thing as a stupid question or a question that we don't like to ponder. This forum was founded on the basis of not having the "look it up" mentality. There's about a hundred forums out there for Jeeps that have that attitude, but it has no place here.

Anyway, with that said, how are things in Ocean Springs? Are you still there or did you have to relocate? Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys down there.
