? about relocating rear license plate

id like to relocate my rear license plate to the opposite side or any other place by suggestion. ive seen some pics of people on here who have done it. is there any legality issues i should be concerned with.(like figgering out a plate lite? ). i thought of using a cj plate bracket at the opposte side. i like the idea of my fuel area being open like a cj's and not dealin wit that stupid flip plate. if i figger something out for sure, ill have one of those yj fueling assitant devices 4-sale. im open to any and all suggestions......thanks in advance.

I moved my license plate for the same reason, move it to right below my tailgate, I don't have a light for it and haven't been bothered. I've seen people mount it sideways on the passenger side or curve it in with the body on the passenger side as well.

You definately need the light, unless you never travel at night and especially never travel when the bars close. The police usually wait to pull you over with a lack of license plate light when they are on the DUI hunt.

Very true, I don't know the laws where you're at but I drive mine at night all the time without problems, I figure the head lights from the car behind me lights up my plate. Also, I'm not a big drinker and if I do have a drink, I usually have a person drive that is not drinking.

Here in Washinton State, it's a $108.00 fine for any light being out, plate light, head light, tail light, clearence light.
It's really aggrevating on a long drive and you lose a light and not know it.
