Aggresive all terrain tires

I'm looking for an all terrain tire that performs well on the road and off and looks very aggressive. I'm looking or 35x12.5x15 tires. Any suggestions?

I have always been a BFG AT KO guy for over 30 years and still think they are a great tire. I just put 35x12.5x15 MTR Kevlar's on and I'm very happy with them. Quiet on the road, better in the rain, and a very aggressive tread. The only thing I'm not sure if is tread life.

I was looking at those MTR kevlar's, what do you mean better in the rain? Better then the old MTR's?

Better than the BFG AT's. The center tread on the new MTR really grips in rain and I hear they are great in snow.

The MTR stands for Maximum Traction Reinforced, they are not marketed as a "mud" tire. If you look at the center tread you will see it is designed for street use, which is why it has better wet/snow street traction then the BFG AT. It is, IMHO, an A/T tire by design and function....but I have been known to be wrong

One of the newest and best rated AT's on the market now are the Mickey Thompson ATZ's. I have always run BFG AT's & KO's but after reading several reviews of these tires by written by industry leaders I may give them a shot.

The Baja ATZ P3 has a unique 'hybrid' design between an all-terrain and mud terrain to give you the grip you need for your weekend adventures and the smooth ride to get you down the road in comfort. Features an extra wide footprint and beefy tread blocks for great all around traction. All sizes feature PowerPly™ 3-ply sidewall construction.
  • New compound with improved cut and chip protection
  • Deep, aggressive sidebiters for improved protection
  • Multi-draft grooves for self-cleaning and improved wear
  • PowerPly™ 3-ply sidewall construction

I read that right now they are prototype tires for Bfg but that they might come out next year because they are already DOT approved

I run the KM2's, I would not call them an all-season. I used to have KO's on my Toyota. Hated them; would load up and not let go of mud or snow. I have found few "all-season" tires that can do it all well. In the world of compromise you have to pick your priority.

Those are prototype BFG All Terrains. They were on BFG's Baja racer this year and as stated already are going through DoT approval to be released next year.

To me they look just like BFG's Rugged Terrain tire except with an aggressive sidewall.

I second that! Had the MT Baja ATZ P3s for over two years now and they are the best purchase Ive made for my Jeep so far. Great grip on any terrain.

I have the same tires and they're pretty noisy! My friends claim they can here me coming halfway through the neighborhood!

All joking aside, they're a great tire. They throw plenty of mud when you need them to, but are well behaved on the road.

Maxxs are 275/70R18 on my Z71 Tahoe, the STT Pros are 315/70R17 on my JKURHR. Both balanced easily with little weight, and are seriously tough as Hell tires. I run them through South Texas brush/ thorns without a problem.....other tires had to be patched after every trip, really, every trip. Maxxs and Pros both do well on wet pavement too.
