Air cleaner

I have a 89 yj with with the 6 cylinder I want to change my air cleaner from stock. any pictures or help and what are some motor upgrades if any body knows thanks .

upgrade to a mc2100 carb and get a ram air intake. More power, fuel economy, and looks BADASS!

YEP, and splash through the first puddle that you come to, and look dumb as hell cause your motor took a drink of water and shut off.

Actually, the stock air cleaner might not look all that cool, but its designed pretty well. Gets its air out by the radiator, (in front of the splash) and the elements for in it are cheap to replace.

I agree. Stock is the way to go for air intakes.

Unless you do a Snorkel you just have to mount the air tube to the stock cleaner assembly's opening instead of an airbox

I am planning on adding a snorkel for this YJ I had one save my 95's engine when I visited the Pine Barrens a few years back . One trail I goto here there is a Stream crossing and it can get to Parking light level with a quick flow depending on time of the year
