alarm question

Does anyone have experience with alarms on a YJ? I have a soft top which is not even on most of the time. I don't leave anything valuable in my jeep so my only concern is the jeep getting stolen. I guess the only features I'm in stressed in is for it to make noise and prevent the car from starting.

Kitten dies

When i do my resto/mod im going to put some sort of pressure sensors in the front seats and maybe motion sensors in the wheel wells as well as a battery kill switch. Ill wire it all to a master controller so i can arm and disarm with a key fob. If someone sits in the seat to try and hotwire or work the clutch or if they try to push onto a flatbed a super loud obnoxious two-tone alarm will go off.

Yeah. I put a viper in mine. But I also used to do it for a living. Wire the hood to a pin switch and get a good lock for it. I also used a proxy sensor to go off whenever someone reaches into the jeep. It's great except when the wind blows. All in all, it makes sure the starter doesn't work, and the battery won't be stolen.

Cheap and does what I need. Anyone think this is a bad idea or won't work?

If I were you, I'd go to pep boys and pick up a rattler. It's DIY. Few more $. But it's name brand. Good quality.
