**** always something

so i have a stock 1995 yj wrangler and i think i blew the motor, which is the 2.5L 4cycle, everything is stock. The body and everything else is in grest shape and i dont want to get rid of it. If i was to do a engine swap with a 4.0L 6cyc. what would i need besides the engine and tranny mounts, radiator and intake and air filter and all. im hoping i can get the 4.0L out of the junk yard with the air and intake. would i need a new trrans or drive shaft or any other mods??????? Thanks guys

You would need the same amounts of stuff that you'd need to do a chevy 350 swap. So do that. You will love it more.

x2. i did a cost for cost pairing of both routes and came to the same conclusion...well almost. it IS cheaper to stay mopar, but you'll do a ton of work and for a little more money (same amount of work) you can get tons of power with the 350 route. but if your just tryin' to cure your stock situation and ALWAYS keep it stock...junk yard purchase the 4.0 and a ax-15. then get your motor mounts...trans should use same mount (belly pan)
