Any suggested "bolt-on" YJ Brake upgrades? kits?

Hey,
I have a '95 YJ with 50k mi that has never had a brake job, but seems to be something I can't put off any longer. Lately reading about some of the different brake upgrades offered from pads to disk conversions, I was wondering has anyone found a true "bolt-on" type upgrade really worth the trouble? I have seen some nice kits in the trade rags for around $500 which is not that much more than just a brake job, so wanted to check. I am NOT into fabrication (major cutting, welding, pressing ect), so it needs to be something the average garage monkey with hand tools can do. Thanks

A good set of pads and a slotted disc will help the front, can't recall who it is that makes a great rear disc setup though. You can have the rear drums drilled by any decent shop and it will help.
