best economical lift

What is the best economical lift kit? I have an 88 YJ and would like to raise it 3-4 in. I think. Are there some pics on WF showing a 3in or higher lift? I have been looking/reading in Quadratec and there are alot of options out there. I have 31's on the YJ now.

88 Wrangler, inline 6, 5 spd, 8.8 rear end w/3.73 gearing, lifted, mud tires, sound bar w/cd player, Olympic Rock Slider, tube front bumper, herculined and the rest is pretty much stock

The other members don't like them much because of the stiffer ride but I got a good 2 inches from a Rough Country Add-a-leaf kit for less than $300.

Rough country in general is one of the least expensive manufacturers out there. They make a pretty good product, there are much better products out there, but for the price you can't beat it.

Can you weld? Or know someone who can? If so, you can't beat a spring over IMHO. If done correctly, I think its the best bang for the buck plus performs really well. I haven't done my new-to-me YJ but have done others for friends and have done two Samurais.

Last spring I put in a Black Diamond three and a half inch lift. and by the time I bought the kit, The shocks, The new dropped Pitman, and the brake line extentions with the shipping. It came in under eight hundred, and it works great for me.
