Best Rear recovery options....?

Hey guys ive done a lot of research on this topic and i still cant decided on what the best solution for me and my jeep would be. I hoping this thread can make me think of something i haven't thought of or definitely give me more detail and info.

I currently have the bumperettes on the rear of my YJ but I Plan on eventually doin a lift with 33 inch tires on my jeep, with that comes the 33" spare tire, I know that a good option would be a rear swinging bumper/ tire carrier to not only carry the weight of the 33' but would also give me some d-rings for recovery depending on the model bumper, so with that I also want to have an option to tow a small trailer/ jet skis, if need be ( I do not own one though).

Do the rear tire swinging bumpers that have a hitch have a decent weight rating/ recovery pull rating from the hitch? or should I weld a hidden hitch to the frame for towing/ d-ring insert for recovery? and then what the hell do I do about a nice looking bumper and the new tire size support?

Does anyone know of a swinging tire bumper that doesn't have a hitch ? cuz everyone ive seen has one. I Think if i could find that them mabe the hidden hitch will solve my towing and recovery needs and the new bumper will hold the new spare.

Almost all aftermarket bumpers with D-Rings are good with recovery strength. However the rear cross member that they all bolt to isn't. I recommend a set of rear frame tie-ins if you're going to be depending on your bumper for pulling you out

Thanks valtzz do u knoe if the most common hitches on those bumpers can handle a small trailer or jet ski)

Usually there will be a note on the site if the bumper hitch is rated for towing, if there isn't I'd call the manufacturer.

Exactly... What i did was weld some 1/4 in steel plates to the frame itself sticking outward past the bumber mount location so my rear bumper now bolts through the plates,the jeeps rear brace and then the bumper..

Doing something like this will add a lot of strength to the rear crossmember. Rear Tire Carrier

But a bumper's "recovery" points are only as good as their welds, front and back are best.
