Body bumpers

I'm about to start putting suspension lift in and just realized that I didn't buy any replacements for frame bumpers and looking at what's left of mine started wondering if there are any other options re: mounting those. The leftovers will be a b..ch to remove. Any suggestions and pix are greatly appreciated.

I'm talking about those pieces of rubber blunted on the frame above axles, etc.

Am I going to need standard size or extended ones with 2.5" lift?

This is my Rio Grande on 31's w/ 2-1/2" Lift

now 33's w/ added 1" BL and cut the fenders behind the TJ flares, the look is similar because the tires are 2 inches larger which means 1 inch each and w/ the 1 inch BL it evens out.

Oh sorry you do not need a BL just because you are installing a new lift, they are separate things.

BL comes in regardless because of the condition of the original pucks. But would I need standard or extended bump stops?

P.S. That's a nice piece of machinery right there I can finally see how mine will be looking after the lift. Thanks a bunch for the pix

I think you should be ok w/ std. bump stops. I would install the lift kit, and the BL then check it out. I don't know which one you will need. When I had the 2-1/2" lift only I had no problems at all, you will be fine. And the BL does not change the distance between the frame and the axle only raises the body

I did a U-Bolt flip so it adds a bit of metal plate to the top of the axles. I did install the extended BS because I thought I might need them to keep the 33's out of the fenders, but they keep bottoming out way before they should have so I went back to the stock ones and it is much better now.

Since you are only going w/ a 2-1/2" lift you will be fine.
