If you have a manual just make sure you have room to shift. Aside from that the sky is the limit. I ground the front and rear tabs off and made it into a sliding top. Welded forward and rear limiting tabs in it and screwed a cup holder to the side.
If you do a search (picture forum iirc ) you'll find a ton of ideas.
The most important thing is getting the right height so your hand rests on the top of the can comfortably in second and fourth. I ended up using a slab of wood an inch and a half thick which then was bolted through the floor. Then the can gets screwed into the wood base. EZ-PZ
I had bought and installed mine but I haven't done any mods to it yet but I just left the tab on mine and put a spacer under the back of it to level it with the seat you can see it in my build/mod thread there is a link in my signature
