carpet vs. rhino liner

just got a 93 YJ and it has black carpet throughout in decent shape, I'm thinking about pulling it out and rhino lining the whole inside. Should I attempt this project and how much of a pain in the butt is it to do the whole inside and how many coats would I need to do?

A lot of people are starting to rhino line the interior. The key is the prep work before you line it. I have mine planned pretty soon but from all the threads that have been being made on the subject it seems fairly simple just a lot of prep work.

I too have been watching every thread on this. The stuff I'm really leaning towards is U POL Raptor Liner.

Mine came with some type of spray on liner, and it is coming off in several places. Probably just a cheap job. But, underneath, it looks like it had no, or little prep work. I've done some painting, and it's all about the prep. that liner has to have a good surface to grip to, or it will not really bond.

i don't see why it wouldn't, as long as you scuff up the surface of the por15.

I rhino lined my 93 yj and it was easy. I just slobed it all over the placed. Its a great waterproofing, and rust agent, but before i put the bed liner on i first put a rusty metal primer down as the first coat. It all worked great. I'll try to post some pics of what mine looks like.

I have done some rhino lining in other spots that had black duct tape cover scratches and it turned out pretty darn good so I may just take it all the way inside, hmmmmmm.
