cheap cv driveshaft solution!

ok so heres an update on what i found to be a cheap solution to buying to hight dollar cv driveshaft... first i have a 94 yj w/ 4" rough country lift along w/ spring over lift... when i ordered the parts to complet my soa lift i knew the old drive shaft and t-case drop kit wasnt going to cut it, so i ordered a terraflex sye kit and i installed it, the did my soa lift.... after all said and done i had about 19" between yokes, i didnt really have alot of $ left to buy a fancy name brand drive shaft, so i did some research and desided i was going to try and buy a front cv driveshaft for a cherokee, then have it shortened and balanced... so i placed an ad in the local online classifieds, and had 5 people wanting to sell me one in the next 2 days... i ended up buying on from a guy about 5 miles away for $30 and called my local driveshaft shop, took it the that night he had it finished the next day! he shortened it and balanced it hell and he painted it black... all for $60 so i have a cv style d shaft for $90 and had it on my jeep within 24hrs... have drove it about 30 miles mostly offroad.. holding up great....

You got to check out ScottinPA's solution. I think his entire SYE/CV driveshaft cost about 125$.

SOA stands for spring over axle. Simply put it is moving the axle from sitting above your springs to sitting below your springs. On average it will net you 5.5 inches of lift. You get a lot more flex going SOA.
