I just did mine. I purchased the aftermarket one sold for less $$ on many sites. I think it's OXO-ADA or something like that. The front lip is much smaller than the OEM piece, and once installed, I noticed that it was a bit wavy across the front. Rather than wait for water to start leaking in from the wipers pouring their load directly onto this, I got some RTV and ran a bead across the top and bottom of this lip, and while smoothing the bead, made very effort to make it as straight as possible. I also have a top rack that mounts to the hinge bolts, and I filled in the extra channel formed by the mount, as I think that contributed to the extra water than was running into my dash. Since I completed this, I have NO water getting into the dash, even in torrential downpours at highway speeds. I still get some minor leakage from the ventilation system and around the doors, but I can live with that as it doesn't fry the lectronics and is easily removed with a sponge. The RTV is clear and not noticable unless you get close, so yes, I'd recommend it.
