The axles are the correct with, but you will have to remove and relocate the spring pads, and remove the shock mounts and get different ones, they do not have the same time of mounts.

What is it in your rear axle that needs replacement? Just a carrier/ differential, or the actual whole rear axle?

If you're pulling one from a cherokee be careful that it isn't the 8.25" rear end if you're going to be just swapping internal parts.

Thanks guys for your help I would like to do a replacement of the rear axle because the problem I am having is that the rear tires are wearing on the Inside when we checked the differential was the problem , the previous owner did some bubba work on it as it seems as though the differential was fabricated to fit the jeep by the original owner and the job was not done properly . I guess I could get a try and get a carrier / differential and rebuild the differential. I am not sure what of rear end the Cherokee has I am going to have a look at it today .

Get rid of that D35 and up grade to a 8.8 out of a late 90's explorer. you will gain rear disc brakes if the years are right.
