Question Do aftermarket computer chips really help?

I have a 93 YJ 4.0. Has anyone out there tryed the computer chips in thier Jeep I see advertized? And if so have they noticed any difference? Thanks

Nobody make a decent chip for an OBD 1 engine. Even Hesco has stopped supplying the Uni Chip`s because of quality problems.

The newer 96 + OBD 2 models are more "tunable" and there are some "chips" that can increase performance.

For now, save your money.

I have a fuel max chip on my 93 2.5. I mabe gained a mpg or so but its hard to tell. I did gain noticable power from a helix tb spacer though...

Everyone on here say's TB spacers do zero....

I dunno what to tell ya, I noticed a difference. Its not like a supercharger or anything but it improved much on the throttle response...
