does anyone use a "trail top" ?

i got a 88 DD and looking for a pull-over top that hooks onto the bottom to keep water/dust/animals etc.. out. something easy to put on when out and about or when you don't want to throw the soft top back on every night.

i have seen them in quadratec and other spots called trail tops - but looking for one that can be used with stock mirrors.

anyone have good experience or recs?

I do and love it. It is folded up and in the bag between my seat and tailgate along with my bikini top. I started a thread about this just a couple of days ago. May be on page two by now

Check out my build at:

I have one too. They work great. Any can be used with stock mirrors. Some are made to cover only the top half, others have the flaps that come down to cover the door opening when the doors are off. The Mirror, in stock position, is far enough forward that it doesn't interfere. If you have steps/rails that are out from the side of the body, then the flaps won't fit snug against it - still holds out water and rain, but critters may get in.
It's a Jeep Thing ... I do understand!

yeah me to. Its awesome. But, when I use it I have to run a couple bungies across above the passenger area in the front. From the windshield frame to the rollbar. I came out one morning and to my surprise it rained... a lot... The top was full of water, sagging down to 1 inch above my center console and slowly dripping through into the cup holders which were completely overflowing w/water lol.

Once I put the bungie in the center, it doesn't puddle up there anymore.
