Id closer to calling it a truck than a car. But I refer to mine as a Jeep.

Th great "YJ" model like mine was the last rugged no thrills creature comfort type of jeep, just a couple or gauges and a radio, and half doors. That Megan's no comfortable door panels , no fancy dash board with vent's , no one cluster gauge pod for speedometer etc. I'm my opion all the other models after the YJ are just rugged comfortable car's not jeep's!!

A "no thrills" jeep? Come on, don't be so hard on your YJ. I like them too since I will always associate them my childhood and Jurrasic Park.

Oh no I love my YJ , I just talking about the last real jeep, not having creature comforts, like a TJ and the other new jeeps,

I'm just giving you a hard time bud. I assumed your phone or computer auto corrected "no frills" to "no thrills". I like all wranglers, cj's and especially the military jeeps. To me a jeep is a jeep for what it has in common with the military jeeps and cj's. The other stuff like A/C is just the natural progression of things but doesn't change the vehicle's functionality. That being said, I definitely don't mind A/C haha.

My registration says it's a S.U.V. It's not a car so I don't refer to it as such. I call it my "Jeep". When I say my "car" I'm talking about my car, the Chevy Cobalt, that gets double the gas milage, double the speed, but cant even go nearly half the places.

it doesn't really bother me... I wouldn't say I get offended when someone calls a sammie or fj a jeep, but I do correct the offender. I work at a mini golf park (the oldest continuously run golf park in texas), I have known the owner for ever. we get tons of people who walk right up to our counter and say "I'm lookin' to play me some putt putt!" we try to explain why that is a bad term in our park... Putt Putt being the competitor and all. amazingly, we have a lot of people give us funny looks after our explanation, thus indicating their lack of understanding.

yeah their not cars, not trucks and their not a suv. its like a giant ATV or UTV or in my case (2.5 with 4.10s) almost as fast as a golf cart, but if you look at your registration it doesnt say truck, pas car, station wagon (cherokee), it says Utility vehicle, which is like an ATV, UTV...GOLF CART just saying if your friend calls it a car, next time you see a motorcycle call it a corvette or if you see a vette say its a sweet harley or if you see a truck say look at that car if he replies what one say the one thats kinda jacked up has 4 wheel drive

YES! Very much so!

Unlick the PO - it doesn't bother me so much when people keep their Jeeps stock or don't wheel them... But I can't stand it when people call Jeeps "cars"...
