Donor vehicle for V8 swap

I just got a 96 Tahoe 4WD for $500. It has 350 Vortec and 4L60e. So my question is, how much of the Tahoe can I put in 95 Wrangler with 2.5L? Thanks in advance.

Enough time and possibly money unless fab skill are superior to most everything all the drive terrain might be a good donor

I was more curious about sensors and computer and such. I mean if I use different gauges it shouldn't be able to know if its in the Tahoe or whatever with the exception of ABS maybe.

You can do eeet! I just did a 5.3 in my 95YJ. Its pretty much the same swap. It took me about 2 1/2 months, mostly weekends. It cost me about $2500, not including the motor/trans. It was worth every minute and penny I spent on it! I LOVE my Jeep!

Here is a link to my write up. You can see what you are in for.

Not sure on that the GEN 2 motors but I did an LS in my Chevelle and it wasn't bad at all especially since you have the harness and computer stuff! Tuning out Stuff shouldn't be that hard but again not really sure on the Older 5.7's. Try ls1 tech . Com believe there is a forum or thread on lt conversions. Hope this helps!

Motor good but I would look for a 4l80 and an atlas! And go from there!

BTW, you can use the motor, trans, computer. You can also re-use the Jeeps transfer case using an adapter to the 4L60E. Not sure about the axles...

Check out Novak Convertions or Advanced Adapters for more info.

Chris, a friend of mine suggested that exact thing and its still an option. AZ, I have seen ur posts and pretty much that's what finally got me going on my project. Nice Job!! Steve, that's the stuff I was talking like tuning things out. Thanks everyone. I have 2.5 ready to pull out. Maybe this weekend.
