A while ago I posted that my new ujoints, shifted a bit in the yolk, and a few of you guys said that it could be that the yolk has stretched or a wrong ujoints. I hadn't dne anything to them since we had been busy and it was my front driveshaft so it didn't get much use daily.
Now, my CAD actuator gave up the ghost, so I decided to do the bolt holding the fork method on the front axle and as you know, that makes the front shaft turn all the time. The ujoints started clicking so I had to fix it. I went to NAPA and asked them for ujoint straps and they gave me ones by precision that were specific to the application; (Autozone only carries the HELP! ones). Took them home and put them in: everything is snug as a bug now and no movement, rattling, nada.
Just a FYI, if you need ujoint straps for your front shaft, try not to get the universal HELP! ones, their arc is too wide for the ujoints.
