ebay soa

Has anybody ever tried one of those no weld perch kits off of ebay.Its supposed to be a bolt on spring perch for soa.I was wondering if anybody has bought that lift kit or is it just a bad idea.

my buddy has a bolt on soa kit and he likes it bc you can always put the springs right back under if you would need to for some reason. i dont like it bc it adds extra junk to get hung up on

It's my understanding that w/a standard soa kit such as the RE, you'll gain 5.5" of lift and most can get by without an SYE and CV shaft right away. With the bolt-on kits, however, you'll typically gain about 6.5" of lift...pretty much requires an immediate SYE and CV shaft install.

Also, most feel that bolt-on kits are unsafe, (I disagree), but nothing says that you can't bolt it all together, get all your angles right, etc, and then weld around the perches.
