Question electrical problem -

Need to know where the brakelight switch is. Thought it would be on the manifold plumbed to the master cylinder....was told the switch/sensor there was part of the ABS. Neither the stop lights nor the turn signal lights work.

1995 4WD Thanks for any help!

Check the switch at the top of the brake pedal (at least that is where it was on the '91s). It is a plunger type switch (lights come one when released).

If you have to ask what it is or what it does, you don't need it, and you will need help to install it!

That's where it is on my 94 too. Sounds more like a relay prob to me though.

stoplight switch location

You are right ! I found it but it is a bear to get at....

I'm wondering why it has 4 leads....and how much of the dash do i have to take apart to get at it ? I've taken the trim off but that doesn't help much.

Where can I get a schematic of this area....usual manuals don't help.
