Extra vacuum hose?

Directly under the throttle body, on what the throttle body is mounted to, there are 4 vacuum hose knob things (excuse the technical language here..). The bottom right one (Drivers side) on my jeep has a L-cover rubber thing like that one the other vacuum hoses...but with nothing connected to it. Put my finger over it, engine slowed down. Took off the rubber L, and the engine speeds up. What is it for, is it supposed to have a hose...etc?

well without a pic im not entirely sure but if i had to guess id say that that hose should be attached to the actual throttle body itself at the base. I have seen some YB with the nozzle for that hose and some without. Do u know if ur TB was ever replaced?

I believe so, yes. There is a square of four of those vacuum outlets, and the one I'm curious about is the bottom right one in the square- It actually has two outlets, one that doesn't seem like it does anything and is vertical, and the other pointing left with this rubber L on it.

Emissions
typical 87-89 4 banger is left to right from fender:map sensor, egr cannister solenoid, TAC sensor and PCV valve

On 90 later its: MAP, EGR solenoid, TAC sensor, PCV valve/cannister...last one is vapor,

On mine, the MAF comes off one of these as well as vacuum for 4wd
