Factory or aftermarket?

I am thinking about taking off my sidesteps. Don't know if they came stock or what? There are little torx bolts running along the side and I was wondering if it would look bad with a lot of holes in the tub. Anybody know of something cheap to cover them up? Like rock sliders but not functional? I'm in college and broke...

i think quadratec has boiler plate type panels that would cover the holes.

those steps are factory on yours, and they suck to remove. there will be holes and rust when they're off. plan on sanding priming and painting.

then they make plain diamond plate rocker cover. that'd be my cheap choice. otherwise splurge for the real sliders.

I'd leave'm on too. provides a little "ding protection" but hard on the shins.

i guess if you want them off you could save yourself the sanding and buy some red gasket sealant and put a LITTLE in the holes so it doesn't rust...but there a pain. looks fine just they way it is...plus if you decide to go higher may come in handy jumping in and out
