Family cage question

Will a TJ style cage fit in my YJ? I'm sick of having the kid krusher cage. Any one tried to swap on? I can only find TJ cages in my area.

I don't think so but maybe. You do know that the roll cage for the YJ changed in 93? I prefer the cage that my 89 has and since they are YJ's they are probably interchangeable.

TJ and YJ models are almost identical in looks. The only real differences between the YJ & TJ cages are the obvious B-Pillar mounts, TJ factory seat belt options and TJ A-Pillar options.

From what I remember reading about this one hole on each side of the front floorboard is about 1/4 to 1/2 in off. You'd just have to either ream the cage's mount hole out or drill another hole in the floorboard

That and the windshields are at different angles. I think the TJ cage's front arms are too short to reach a YJ's windshield. I've also heard that TJ cages are much weaker than the YJ as they are bolt together rather than welded.

Either be patient and one eventually will come along for you to get it or take yours and build the one you want upon it. Pick one

Just a suggestion, I found a local dude that can get metal for cheap and is good with welding. Took a few pics to him and gave him a budget. There is always a solution you just have to be willing to find. Good luck!
