Fender cut

As anyone had any luck cutting the stock front fenders and made them into flat style fenders for added clearance? If so do you guys have pics. So i can see what line you followed

I think I've heard of guys doing it. But they always supplement with more metal because the factory sheet metal isn't strong enough to deal with being cut up that much and if you bump it against anything on the trail it will crumple.

Yea i want to reinforce with some metal pipes welding around the fender when i cut it

I just did some digging. Look up JD95YJ. He's a member on here and he has trimmed his factory fenders.

Here's a link to my fender build, nothing too fancy but it gave me the clearance that I needed.
It's hip to be square...YJ fender build and Hiline

Here's an older pic of mine.. I have had to "reshape" them a couple of times but I'll eventually reinforce them.

Good idea leaving the curved section. Helps with the structure.

Cool cool thanks. Yea im going to cut them like that and use a inch and half bar under and across for support.
