First - thank you to those of you that have answered my questions over the last year! This was my first Wrangler and there was lots to learn!
So, here's the list of what I did to my '87 Laredo 4.2l auto (171k miles):
Complete new suspension. Pulled off the original (every bolt was fused - everything had to be cut off). Installed a 4" lift, new tie rod, drag link, and pulled off the sway bars. All new hardware and bushings.
Completely new brake system (booster, master, new lines, calipers, cylinders, and SS extenders)
New exhaust - the entire thing.
New intake manifold and egr tube.
New exhaust manifold.
Horn was wired to a button on the dash - rewired back to steering wheel.
New stereo, new front speakers, new pod rears, new soundbar.
Pulled dash off, blasted and repainted.
New fender flares.
New diamond plate siding.
New chrome grill.
New chrome front bumper.
New winch cover plate.
New rear light cages.
Bought and refinished/repainted a hardtop.
Fixed broken gauges.
New seat belts.
New center console.
Rewired all lights (some hack with a penchant for duct tape did it previously).
New starter / selenoid.
Welded some new plate onto the gas tank skid plate.
New fuel tank filler hoses.
New e-brake cables (all of them).
She's coming along... a few more projects left! (a before and after pic) I have 33's for it, but - I'll run the stock wheels through the winter.
