First trail run

I went on my first trail run in my jeep that I have had for 3 years!!!! Just getting it on the road was a pleasure but rollin' over some rocks was great!
I have replaced my plastis valve cover, 4.2L I-6, and there is a port near the firewall that is leaking. the shoop that replaced the valve cover put a large silver, looks like a mushroom, over it as a breather of somesort. It is leaking a lot of oil from here. WHAT can I do to stop this leak? I lost about a quart of oil in about an hour and a half of highway driving.

post a pic of the leaker. And you're hooked on trails now. Let the addiction begin.

It was a blast! This summer is going to be filled with trips to the mountains!
Here is a picture of the silver mushroom attached to the valve cover.

That is a breather. its in the valve cover because the 4.2L creates a lot of internal pressure, and it needs somewhere to go. I have the same thing in mine.

The only difference is, my PCV valve is in the grommet that your breather is in, and vice versa.

Your PCV is in the rubber grommet in the lower part of that pic. Towards the front of the motor, just behind the oil filler cap. Thats where the breather should be.

If I switch these around would the leak be reduced or stop?
