Flat fenders question

I want to make my stock fenders in to flatties my question is how do you remove the front piece that attaches to the grille? It look like it is spot welded I see a lot of people doing it so there must be an easy way. Thanks for any help.

Chop Em

Glad we chopped my flairs off!! Dont plan on flatties, they just get in my way, then again our laws where we live arent tight on stuff like that. Looking soon to chop off the back of the tub some also. Even a Dremmel(not to sure how to spell that) will chop em off

on the front of the fender, where it comes together (pinch weld).....i cut about a half inch or so past that, right after it rolls down. and then cut it from the grill.
