Flat towing question

Not looking for opinions on flat towing yea or nay...

I just flat towed my YJ 200 high speed highway miles before finding out that my t-case was in 4H and not N like I thought. Manual trans was in N. Jeep was off when I shifted, so no vacuum to engage front hubs (right?).

Anything I need to be worried about at this point? If so, what's the worst case scenario?

I have flat towed this YJ many times as had the previous owner. This is the first time that I neglected to double and triple check everything.

Thanks in advance for any technical advice.

I would drain the fluid in your t-case first and just check for excessive amounts of metal shavings. Refill and then take it for a spin checking 4hi and 4lo as well as 2hi. Don't feel bad though, I towed the wife's TJ about 70 miles on winding mountain roads with the steering wheel locked.

Check out my build at:

Everything seems to be working fine, but I will check the fluid when I get it home. Thanks for the assistance.
