for the guys that used bedliner on jeep

Im wondering with did everyone do with the drain plugs. Did you just go over them then cut them out or remove them and just installed after it dried if so was they hard to get back in. Thanks

I just snapped mine out, and snapped them back in when the liner was dry the next day.

I got rid of the one that originally come with the jeep, it's metal like, i dont recall. Bought a whole new set of plastic one online for $6 for 15 pieces. Then plug it back in after the liner dried out.

I drilled mine out one size larger and popped in some electrical knockout plugs that I painted black.

Mine's a TJ so it may be different, but I also popped them out, lined the tub and put them back in.

I think you'd have to do a triple heavy layer of liner before the stock plugs wouldn't fit anymore...

Put mine back in after we shined them back up with Armour All.

Hey guys.. did your Jeeps get louder after lining? (this is assuming you lined and then left the carpet out) Or did you put your carpet back in after? I'm thinking about doing it, but I'm not sure. If you left your carpet out, did it get really loud?

I read a write up that said something about plugging the drains up with paper towels while you are lining. That way you can just rip them out when you are done and can easily access the holes? I'm not sure. I'm gonnna do this in the next couple months though. The noise does get a little more intense with the carpet out, but with the top off who can hear anything anyway!?

Yup, I stuffed mine with masking tape and lined around it.

lykanjt --- Where did you get those plastic plugs?

I took out my metal ones, and left the holes open. make sure you have a drop cloth underneath, and painted right over them. then bought plastic ones online and put those in after I was done because I didn't like the metal ones. They weren't hard at all to put back in, just needed a little extra force to get them back in there, but nothing serious

@ ashevilleyjmike:

15 Body Floor Plugs fit Jeep Wrangler YJ 1987 to 1995: eBay Motors (item 370246172215 end time Jun-12-10 05:47:18 PDT)

That's where i got it, it fit perfectly into mine even after the liner. I even took it out a few time to hose down the jeep and re-plug them with no problems. That's also for everyone else looking for a set .. $8 for 15 .. free shipping ..
