Question four wheel drive

OK.. I just got my 1st ever jeep wrangler and i need to know something. When shifting into 4 wheel drive I pull back and that engages it, but when i move the shifter over and back what does that do?? LO HI??? please help

when you shift it back once it puts it in to 4high which engages 4wheel drive. when you shift again it puts it in to 4low which is what you would use for technical stuff, or if you're stuck in a ditch or something of that nature. 4low just gives a lot more power. test it out and you'll get a better understanding.

Keep in Mind inbetween 4HI and 4LO is Neutral.

Also keep in mind you cannot shift into or out of 4lo unless you are stopped and in N (if you have auto trans)
