Good Deal or Not?

Hey guys and girls I'm new here and I'm 15 so new to jeeps too. I found this jeep on C-List and I want to know if its a good deal just to get an idea for future reference. No full doors or hard top (ill need to buy these eventually). Minor rust and paint bubbling but that's fine with me because I'm willing to learn on how to fix this. It's really every thing I want except its an auto but no big deal.
Anyway here it is 87 jeep wrangler
Thanks

From the pics it does not look too bad BUT you need to ask why it needs tags. Did it sit for a long time (back fees maybe) or is it just time to renew? Or will it not pass smog?

If it checks out the highest I would go is $2,500. Once you get it you'll probably have to put 500-1,000 into it for it to be a good daily driver.

An XJ is not a bad choice, but if you want a wrangler or have ever had one you wont be happy in an XJ as a replacement. Just keep your eyes peeled and they pop up from here to there. When the right deal comes along you gotta be ready to move.
