Goodyear DuraTrac Tires

Anyone running the Goodyear DuraTrac tires? I'm thinking about getting them for mine. If so, do they run big or small? How's the noise level on the street? Any comments are great!

great tires, hardly any noise. INCREDIBLE for ice... like ghecko feet! I've had mine for about 3 years or so in Michigan. I liked the cooper stt's I used to have on our ranger as well but even those were louder on the highway than the duratracs.

Mine here are 33x12.5x15 on 15x8" rims.

Great all around tires. I'm debating on getting more when its time to replace mine or maybe trying some of the mickey thompsons. They're louder on the road but a little more aggresive.

this is when they were new

more recently

the gaps really make up the noise. When you see aggresive tires w/larger spaces between the tread it makes 'em hum louder on the road like a tractor tire.

Great. Thank for all the feedback. I'm in Southern California so I don't have to worry about the ice. It's my daily driver so I'm looking for tires that will last a while too.

I have a 31x10.5 set on my YJ and I love em. They've gotten me through some slippery muddy hills that other jeeps were having a hard time on with lockers. I'm also in SoCal and drive the freeways all the time. There is a little hum but nothing compared to so of the tires that go by me. They've also held up very well in the year or so that I've had them!

I never bothered to measure mine because I assumed I hadn't been ripped off. But isn't this false advertising? If a 33 inch tire isn't 33 inches, can't I sue good year? Just like the idiots suing subway cause some idiot used out of spec bread?

And yeah I know all tires do it. But it's BS.

Anyway, they are good tires. I have them on a JK, they're bad ass looking and I only notice the hum with hard doors. I usually run 2 piece soft doors, or no doors, and i can't even hear them over the wind.

Compared to Goodyear wrangler ST (Which i do not consider to be a good tire for ANYTHING), they lock up in emergency braking situations very easily on the street. I don't like that at all, but I was able to avoid an accident that suddenly happened right in front of me, and i was able to pass the fools on the shoulder and give them both the finger.

I haven't had access to real mud yet but they're pretty amazing in the sand and work well in stuff that would make me nervous with the wrangler ST tires..

Had a set of 33s and loved them. My 35s arrive in a few days. Great off-road and quiet on the road!
