Got my reman tranny in!

I had been having some trouble downshifting and decided to change my fluid. Well, bits of metal were obvious in the fluid so I decided to change the transmission before it got too bad. All I can say is..WOW! I didn't realize just how bad the old one had gotten! It's like having a new Jeep! It shifts like BUTTAH!! I would put the name of the company that I got it from but I think that is a violation of forum rules. The sweet part is, they give their trannys a 12 month/UNLIMITED mileage warranty! And no, I have no connection with this company other than being a first time customer. The cost was $650+shipping. I felt that was a good price...am I wrong? Anyway, very pleased. Just thought I'd share.

Glad you had a great experience with them! It's not an issue to tell us about the company as long as that is not the only reason that you ever post and not the only content of your posts. So, who was it? And congrats on the new tranny again!

If you have to ask what it is or what it does, you don't need it, and you will need help to install it!

That is a very decent price, and they do seem to be a very reputable company. I had a Muncie 465 rebuilt, and it cost a whole lot more than that. So I would definately say that you did well.

I was hoping you had found a good AUTO trans place that was cheap... I have a good manual that I am looking to swap this fall after the season is over... Oh well, guess I will keep looking!

I like the manual, but I keep running out of feet on the rocks... And it's REALLY hard to operate a hand throttle and a winch remote AND steer all at the same time!!!!!
