So these things are unhooked under my hood. What could they be?

It may help if there was a picture of your whole engine bay. I see that is by the altenator, but am assuming that, at least the first pic belongs to the AC, as stated above.

Both things are right behind and below the alternator. The two orange wires are a little below the socket piece (ac hook up)

I love this game...!!! We played it under my hood for the first 2 months after I bought my YJ. The PO told me..." I just got her running". I'm the newbie here so I am curious too...

i went and looked at my engine.

the round connector plastic connector is the plug to the dryer canister for the ac system and hte smaller one with the multiple wires coming out of it is the power to the compressor.
