i know stop the presses and call the president i had an idea. OK so i need to do more frame repair on the front of my frame were the power steering mounts. its not gone but it will be before much longer. could a guy just take some square tubing roughly the same size and wield it in their in place of the old section that should be OK right.i only need to do back the the track bar mount

i don't know near enough about it, but you need to have a handle on structural welding, there's certain angles and directions you aren't supposed to do when welding a frame

i already have built my back tail sections and they worked out just fine. but i was loking at finding a fast way to do the front. i remember the metal company having box tubing about the right size. and i cant imagine its much different from the original stuff Chrysler used. and i was going to use some 3/8 or 1/4 inch stuff so its going to be stronger then stock, and also i know to use diamond shaped plates(fitch plates) over the ends of the wield were it attaches to the frame so theirs not a straight line for the wield to break.
