Hard Sliders / Soft Sliders questions

So I recently bought a CJ hard top but I am going to put it on my YJ. Previous owner had it on a YJ.

Right now I have the stock soft top and square uppers. I know I need to chance them though. Someone said I needed "hard uppers" but I have only seen the sliding glass uppers but ones that are still made with the soft top material. Could someone please educate me on what I actually need?

I just chatted with the guy from Quadratec and he says the only option is hard uppers made by keystone but they cost a thousand bucks. That is ridiculous!!

Thanks.

Just get a pair of full doors off CL, or Besttop uppers that are rounded.

I have been all over looking for full doors and there are a few things... Either they are almost completely rusted out or people want 800 for a set of *decent* full doors.

The bestop uppers... Are you talking about the glass sliding ones? I have read they don't work with the hard tops. I was told the only sliding ones that would work are keystone ones are they are a thousand dollars for the sliding uppers.

The rounded bestop uppers for a yj will not work with a hard top.

Why not? I havenet used them, but I do have both a hard top and soft top. I know from factory soft tops have pointed corners while hardtops have rounded corners. Is there something different about the best top ones?

Call this guy. He posted in Philly CL. If he sells them to you for $400 seems it would be worth the drive.

Jeep CJ7 or YJ Full Hard Doors

The bestop rounded soft upper doors that are made for yjs are oversized to cover more of the door surrounds for the bestop super top they were not designed to be used with a hard top, they will overlap the door surround on the hard top and have large gaps.
