Hauling fire wood

I've got a 94 with the 4.0 five speed and it has 4.10 gears do you think it'll pull a 5x8 trailer with a normal load of fire wood and not give it to much trouble

I don't think you would but that's more than I haul considering I just take the back seat out and stack it up to my roll bar but mine is just a 2.5 but I had a Cherokee that had the 4.0 and it pulled a boat just fine i don't think it would weigh more than that and ive also towed my buddys jeep with mine and still had no issues our neighbor hauls wood all the time with his 2001 Tj

you should be ok, you can always start small and see how it handles and work your way up just to make sure it will be ok

A normal load would be about two feet high in a 5x8 trailer, right?

like I said im pretty sure it can, 4.0 are pretty stout the one in that Cherokee I had could pull a 28 ft pontoon with no issues and it was automatic atleast with a manual you can control the power behind it

Use this to figure the wgt of the wood, and add the EW of the trailer. A cord is 4'x4'x8'. Don't push your luck.
