HELP! FREE donor Jeep, what should I take?

My friend is scrapping his 95 yj because it is rusted out, cracked frame, and cracked motor mounts. I have a 95 yj in good condition. apart from his hardtop, extra set of wheels, full doors, and radio, what else should I take. I will give him some money, but he doesn't want much.

How's the drivetrain?
Couldn't hurt to have a donor motor that you could rebuild, taking your time, maybe add some performance mods. Are the axles good? Never hurts to have spares, Seats? Transfer case? Brakes? Suspension? Electrical? Steering? Radiator? and on and on.

If you can pick up the WHOLE thing, and have a place to store it where it won't be runied by the elements, it would be good to have.

You never know when you'll need that itsy bitsy little plastic doohickey that's under the dash.

I agree with Kate. Get it and if nothing else start tearing it down and storing parts. You just never know with these "toys".

Take the whole thing, get what you need, sell the remainder to the folks here, split the cash with your buddy for being the broker.

I got a list of parts that i would LOVE to have off that. seat mounts, FACTORY SKID plate, radio, center consel, and a few other things.

i say buy it and part it out. you could make a buck.

were you located at anyway?
